i believe that english lenguage take a logic of cultural expansion from United States, the logic say that actually in the to globalize world the english is the most important lenguage, because if you learn this lenguage you going to more work opportunities. So like it happened with the spanish when america was discovered , it happen with the english in the cultural and economic conquest.
this phenomenon spread to to the university, the moyority of the literature it is translate so to learn this lenguage it is necessary, the economic dependence of Chile will create a cultural dependence.  I believe that english lenguaje it should have the importance that any other lenguage in the university, I believe that the english lenguaje like a obligatory branch it is detrimental for to learn other lenguage, like germany or catalan.
 i believe the better is to have the opportunity for to choose other lenguage, the university  it can be open toward all cultures , now we can see that United States or other cosmopolitan country , their poor neighborhoods  to emerge a combination of originary lenguage with foreign lenguage, so this way in the Los Angeles Ghettos we can find combinations between english and spanish.
